COOKIE POLICY
No tracking banner because there is no tracking stack.
This policy explains browser storage and outside content on the current Smelt prototype.

Current status: Smelt does not set first-party or third-party cookies, use advertising pixels, or run behavioral analytics.
Browser storage
The current site does not use cookies or persistent local storage. A random demo identifier exists only in the open page and is sent once when a fictional Smelt completes so the feedback endpoint can reject uncompleted sessions.
Third-party content
Smelt does not embed third-party videos, social feeds, analytics scripts or remote badge images. External links, including SideProjectors, open only when you select them and are governed by the destination’s own policies.
When a consent banner would appear
If optional analytics, advertising tools or nonessential cookies are added later, Smelt must update this policy and add an appropriate consent control before activating them. A banner is not shown today because it would imply controls over tracking that does not exist.
